      Summary
Speedster Luke Dyson struck first blood following some excellent ball handing from the impressive schemer Chris Rogers in the midfield and released in space by veteran Ben Ramsden, Tom Else added the extras. Destructive running from big man Troy Bondswell gave the Forgers the platform to stretch the Donkeys once more with Hooker Mark Bray squeezing down the right flank, Else once again powered over the conversion.

Following a period of tough exchanges the Forgers came out on top once more thanks to some excellent line running by the irrepressible Jon Hitchman and massively powerful Amir Munaf, allowing man of the match Dave Pearce to touchdown for an assured 6 pointer under the sticks.

More strong defence organised by the reliable Aaron Brown kept the home side at bay. Tom Else enhanced his performance further with an excellent finish from long range helping the Sheffield men to a comfortable lead.

Phil Stubbs and Big Rob came off the bench to add extra muscle as the Donkeys tested the visitors defence with an excellent period of pressure deep in Forgers territory. Having held their line with a series of big hits the Forgers took full advantage when back in possession with Jon Hitchman finding the right angle and finishing with aplomb.

The second half a completely different affair with the Heavy Woolen Donkeys redoubling their efforts and playing to their obvious forward based strength. In spite of some excellent ball work from half back pairing Pearce and Rogers and excellent running from 80 minute loose forward Paul Holbrook, the Donkeys defence held strong.

The home team finally registered on the scoreboard following some excellent work from the big men and some well sustained pressure on the defensive line.

Refreshed by a series of exchanges and some good work from ball handling stalwart Rich Scaife put the visitors in a good position. Fast ball out wide found powerhouse Amir Munaf at pace out wide proving unstoppable collecting his first Forgers try.

With both sides tiring and injuries taking their toll, the pace of game slowed. Second half hooker John Davies helped take the pressure off with some good ruck play. Forgers winger Chris Green and try scorer Luke Dyson provided some much needed restbite for their pack with a number of hit ups down the middle. Refreshed with a period on the sidelines the prolific Jon Hitchman showed his class with a strong run for the Forgers final try.
